Friday Quick Tip: What You Can Learn From Paris Hilton About Being An Irresistible Woman Print E-mail

on 05-02-2008 20:20

I just watched a YouTube Video of David Letterman interviewing Paris Hilton from September 2007. I think we'd all agree that Paris Hilton has made her fair share of bad choices, but I have to hand it to her in this interview. There's is something we can all learn from Paris Hilton.

I bet you want to see the video right? Okay, here it is...

What we can take away from this interview is...

... what leads me to our Friday Quick Tip.

You can't change your past. We all make bad choices and most of the time we have to pay the consequences of our choices. Obviously for Paris it was a relentless incarceration focused interview with David Letterman!

But here's what I want you take away from this and what you can learn from Paris Hilton.

  1. You can't change the past so don't beat yourself up over and over and over again for your past mistakes
  2. Don't let anyone else beat you up over and over and over again for something you can't change
  3. Admit your mistake and move on

I'd also like to add that it is important to forgive yourself. I think that's one of the most difficult things to do when you make a choice that has a major negative consequence. The goal is to then make a choice to forgive yourself.

Friday Quick Tip: Ultimately we should learn from our mistakes then forgive ourselves, ask others to forgive us and move forward. Forget what you did wrong, but never forget the valuable lesson you learned from it. The lesson learned will make you stronger!

I have to say, she really kept her compsoure well while David Letterman kept rehashing the subject.

She looked a little uncomfortable, but it shows you can remain your charming self even under stress.

I do have a hard time letting past mistakes go...we definitely shouldn't dwell on mistakes, but learn from them.

Hey Rhonda,

I have to agree. She did a great job of keeping her composure. That's why I just had to use this video for this Friday's Quick Tip. There are some important lessons here.

Thanks for posting, Rhonda!

"Christina brings up an interesting point that strengths can become weaknesses if not controlled. She offers up a good explanation of how you can go about controlling your strengths. She also brings up a much overlooked point that some people need recognition for their accomplishments, and encourages you to recognize them."
